How We Stayed 5 Nights at the Intercontinental Fiji Using Points - And You Can Too

Hotel Review: InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa

The moment you step into the open-air lobby, you're welcomed by a breathtaking ocean view, warm Fijian hospitality and a true feeling of paradise. This resort is about a hour from the Nadi airport, so it is not an ideal location if you're wanting to go on a lot of tours from the Nadi boat harbor. We did one tour from there, and it was nice to leave the resort for a day, eat dinner near the marina, but then come back to peace and serenity for the remaining of our vacation. If you are also wanting to stay in Fiji for a week, you could do 2 nights in Nadi and then the remaining 4 nights at the Intercontinental to save drive time for tours. If not, the resort itself offers plenty of tours, including snorkeling, a sunset boat cruise and even beach front horseback riding! There are locals on the beach that offer the sunset horseback riding as well for a reduced rate. They are great to work with, we even asked if we could do a cava ceremony with them and they did!

The resort is sprawling, so after checkout, you'll be taken to your room via golf cart. Personally, the room layouts are not my favorite but it does still feel luxurious. The balconies on the other hand are amazing! They have a huge day bed along with a private bath tub, the perfect outdoor relaxing atmosphere. Around the resort you will find two pools for everyone, and then an adults only infinity pool overlooking the secluded Natadola Bay Beach where the resort is located. This Bay is a beautiful location and you can even just walk out to snorkel, during low tide there are some arches/caves you can walk to as well! My absolute favorite part of this resort was its location for sunsets, every single sunset was so insanely beautiful and vibrant with different colors each night.

There are five restaurants onsite, and with free buffet breakfast we found ourselves enjoying a appetizers with drinks for lunch and then dinner at the lounge or restaurant. We never got tired of the food, especially with having one dinner at the marina after a tour. The service and staff is exceptional, they went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and I cannot say enough positive things about Fijian hospitality. On our last night, they sang us a beautiful farewell song at dinner which was such a personable touch.

How to Book a 6-Night Stay in Fiji on Points

Hopefully with the above review I've convinced you the Intercontinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa is worth a stay. I've put together the below guide assuming you'll book points for 2 nights in Nadi at the Crowne Plaza and 4 nights at the Intercontinental.

If you don't already have IHG points, you will want to get this card with a sign up bonus (currently at 170K points) and all the nights below will be 174K points.

Once you hit the minimum spend on the card you will receive your annual free night & your bonus points. Your free night is eligible to be redeemed for one night up to 40K points. The below example is to book a trip over Thanksgiving 2025, and points vary by day so when you look they may be different. Note, November is the start of cyclone and wet season but typically showers will only last an hour or so in the afternoon and be sunny the remaining time, especially around Nadi.
